Here is a wonderful, old ceramic jam crock from the French grocer Robardelle, whose establishment was located in Nancy, in the north-eastern Lorraine area of France.
The pretty bluish/green-colored transfer design reads “Confitures Surfines – Ch. Robardelle · Nancy · ” (Extrafine Jam). The ceramic shows imperfections earned with the years such as discoloration and crazing, a chip, and a crack.
The trademark stamp on the bottom is from the renowned LUNEVILLE house and was used between 1880-1922.
Measurements: 5¼" x 3⅝"
