Antique French enamel drip coffee pot biggin with delicate hand-painted transfer floral decors. This coffee pot is a fine example of how early top-end graniteware was designed to mimic their more fragile porcelain counterparts. This elegant pot with its fine gilt detailing and beautiful aesthetics-inspired décor would have been considered top of the line in its day.
Not just a pretty face – this elegant and rather petite beauty is comprised of five pieces – the coffee pot, an extended handled filter portion with its lid, an enamel press (RARELY found) and the lid, which fits both the filter and the pot.
Riveted handles attest to the advanced age of the pot. Wear is limited to enamel loss on the lid and handles. The pot is soundly water-tight.
Measurements: 9" high, 8½" from spout to handle, bottom diameter is 3¼" narrowing to 3" at the top.
