I can just see your small antique doll posed next to this beautifully carved Victorian harp. I had initially thought this was made of gutta percha but with some research, I now believe the material is known as 'bog oak'. Both were widely used in jewelry and rare to find a larger, figural piece like this. The harp is 7" tall and beautifully carved. The very ornate designs include clover leaves. There are four holes across the top on both sides. One has a removable peg, but do not know what it was originally used for. Again this will look fabulous with your antique doll. I find no damage and just minor wear with a tiny nick along the bottom edge. Really a wonderful piece of Victorian artwork
