Fabulous vintage Afghan gypsy Kuchi bracelet! The is a hinged cuff with great aged patina. It is created with mixed metals so it has a silver brass tone to it. Decorative spikes go all the way around in two rows. The tops of them re domed so that they are not sharp. This is inset on the clasp side with glass jewels. This has a nice heavier weight to it. It closed with a pin clasp. Nice and wide, this makes quite a statement! Great tribal piece for your collection and every day wear!
As with many of my vintage nomadic bracelets, I was able to buy a matching pair of these. This is for one of them, but if you want one for each wrist, check out the other listing too! Condition: Good vintage condition, heavy vintage patina Size: 6 1/2" inside - good for a smaller wrist Width: 2.44" Weight: 130.2.3 grams #2
Please keep in mind that most Kuchi and Turkoman / Turkmen / Turkomen items are old and used items with a distinct aged patina. They are a nomadic Afghan people who have created amazing jewelry for centuries. Their colorful jewelry combines new, old, metal, beads, coins, stones and fabric. Many pieces are worn due to being used from every day wear, tribal celebrations, belly dance and wedding uses. They are made with a coin-base metal alloy.
Please examine enlarged photos for details. Much more beautiful in real life. I do not polish my vintage jewelry and silver as some people like the aged patina. I am not an expert on vintage jewelry, but I do buy and sell what I love! Since these items are vintage, they may have a wonderful aged patina and are not meant or expected to look brand new. I treasure their imperfections as part of their charm and history.
