Vintage Gypsy Bedouin Ethnic - Huge Kuchi Afghan Necklace - InVintageHeaven
This piece is definitely not for the timid. What a statement piece this is! This nomadic beauty consists of two layers of silver pendants. These are both accented with long chain dangles that end in little silver bells. Throughout the necklace are cut glass insets in shades of fuchsia pink, red, green, blue and purple. These add a bit of glitter when the light hits it. The heavy chain does have a clasp on it so should you want me to shorten it, I can. The necklace has it's original aged patina. Nicely jingles and chimes when you move! I have had this beauty sitting on my desks for ages just so that I could look at it!
Great piece to wear whether you want a statement piece or need it for a belly dance costume!
Please keep in mind that most Kuchi and Turkoman / Turkmen / Turkomen items are old and used items with a distinct aged patina. They are a nomadic Afghan people who have created amazing jewelry for centuries. Their colorful jewelry combines new, old, metal, beads, coins, stones and fabric. Many pieces are worn due to being used from every day wear, tribal celebrations, belly dance and wedding uses. They are made with a coin-base metal alloy.

I do not polish my vintage jewelry and silver as some people like the aged patina. I am not an expert on vintage jewelry, but I do buy and sell what I love! Since these items are vintage, they may have a wonderful aged patina and are not meant or expected to look brand new. I treasure their imperfections as part of their charm and history.
