What a big bohemian old statement piece this is! It is a vintage Afghan tribal, ethnic necklace. If you want to stand out in a crowd, this piece will do it! This old piece features many elements. The center pendant is round shape set with cobalt blue glass accents and many chain charm dangles handing down. Two additional large dangles that coordinate with the pendant hang from each side. They are set with large oval red glass. The neck chain is filled with many paddle dangles. Additional glass jewels in cobalt blue and red adorn the necklace. The necklace has it's original heavily aged patina. Great for any belly dance costume or a piece of drama for every day!
This is one of several vintage necklaces in this style I was able to get my hands on, so check out the others too!
Please keep in mind that most Kuchi and Turkoman / Turkmen / Turkomen items are old and used items with a distinct aged patina. They are a nomadic Afghan people who have created amazing jewelry for centuries. Their colorful jewelry combines new, old, metal, beads, coins, stones and fabric. Many pieces are worn due to being used from every day wear, tribal celebrations, belly dance and wedding uses. They are made with a coin-base metal alloy.

I am not an expert on vintage jewelry, but I do buy and sell what I love! Since these items are vintage, they may have a wonderful aged patina and are not meant or expected to look brand new. I treasure their imperfections as part of their charm and history.
