What a massive, fun, statement piece! Whether you are looking for a statement Middle Eastern handcrafted necklace or a piece for your belly dancing costume, this one will surely catch your eye! This huge piece spreads across your shoulders! This vintage piece comes from Afghanistan. It features handwoven plastic seed beads in bright metallic silver. The plastic beads makes this lightweight and easy to wear. Big mirrored hearts give it glitter. Bright metallic orange thread was used to embroider and hold the mirrors in place. The back of the necklace is done with fabric that the pieces are attached to. Long dangles out of faceted plastic white beads, seed beads add more movement. This ties in the back with fabric ties. Accents of hot pink are done in embroidery and sequins. Fun!
***This is one of several that I have listed, so please check out the other also!***
Please keep in mind that most Kuchi and Turkoman / Turkmen / Turkomen items are old and used items with a distinct aged patina. They are a nomadic Afghan people who have created amazing jewelry for centuries. Their colorful jewelry combines new, old, metal, beads, coins, stones and fabric. Many pieces are worn due to being used from every day wear, tribal celebrations, belly dance and wedding uses. They are made with a coin-base metal alloy.

I am not an expert on vintage jewelry, but I do buy and sell what I love! Since these items are vintage, they may have a wonderful aged patina and are not meant or expected to look brand new. I treasure their imperfections as part of their charm and history.
