What an incredible, huge statement piece this is! It is a vintage tribal, ethnic necklace that comes from the Kasmiri area of India / Pakistan! This features many details and is just stunning. The centerpiece shield pendant is huge! It has a detailed, lined etched pattern. Tons of bell dangles hang down. The center is set with glass jewels in ruby red. Turquoise blue colored glass accents the four sides. The necklace section is beaded with handmade black and white glass beads. Domed pendants are set with glass jewels and have more chain dangles. Ornate silver metal beads separate the pendants and glass beads. This appears to have been restrung at some point with a soft cording. This can be tied at whatever length you prefer. Love it!
Please keep in mind that most Kuchi and Turkoman / Turkmen / Turkomen items are old and used items with a distinct aged patina. They are a nomadic Afghan people who have created amazing jewelry for centuries. Their colorful jewelry combines new, old, metal, beads, coins, stones and fabric. Many pieces are worn due to being used from every day wear, tribal celebrations, belly dance and wedding uses. They are made with a coin-base metal alloy.

I am not an expert on vintage jewelry, but I do buy and sell what I love! Since these items are vintage, they may have a wonderful aged patina and are not meant or expected to look brand new. I treasure their imperfections as part of their charm and history.
