What a statement piece this is! It is a vintage tribal, ethnic necklace! It is a traditional Kasmir India necklace featuring many details. The centerpiece shield pendant is set with cobalt blue and red glass cabochons. Detailed etching for a pattern accents this. It features three dimensional metal dangles. Ornate links from the chain. Paisley shaped embossed metal charms add detail and movement to the chain. This is long enough to slip over your head. The necklace has it's original aged patina.
Please keep in mind that most Kuchi and Turkoman / Turkmen / Turkomen items are old and used items with a distinct aged patina. They are a nomadic Afghan people who have created amazing jewelry for centuries. Their colorful jewelry combines new, old, metal, beads, coins, stones and fabric. Many pieces are worn due to being used from every day wear, tribal celebrations, belly dance and wedding uses. They are made with a coin-base metal alloy.

I am not an expert on vintage jewelry, but I do buy and sell what I love! Since these items are vintage, they may have a wonderful aged patina and are not meant or expected to look brand new. I treasure their imperfections as part of their charm and history.
