What gothic glamour to decorate your ears! These are amazing exotic vintage earrings that date to the 1920s - 1930s! They are Art Nouveau or Art Deco inspired from reproduction brass filagree during that timeframe. The top section is a textured darkened brass that features a floral pattern. Hanging from each side are two dangles that are done in an emerald green, faceted glass. They are accented with black seed beads and brass bead caps. The center dangle is a huge swirled gray Czech elongated teardrop. It has an ornate pressed glass flower pattern that has a hand applied gold rubbing on it. If you want a pair of statement earrings, this one surely is! Swinging bohemian gothic decadence!
These earrings are from a collection that I have purchased. They are vintage, new old stock from the 1910s to 1930s that were purchased from the closed factory from the Export Houses of Brditschka and Altmann from the Gablonz region in the Czech Republic. Heindrich Brditschka established his company in 1908 and started manufacturing reproduction contemporary jewelry in the styles Art Nouveau, Edwardian and Victorian with base metals, glass, rhinestones, etc. so that they were affordable. The war shut down the production of the jewelry. The Bohemian glass was created from glass rods that were melted and hand pressed into molds. These piece are ornate, stunning, and incredible craftsmanship. Some of them have soldering on the back since they are hand crafted. The earrings have been cleaned up while still maintaining some of the original patina.

I am not an expert on vintage jewelry, but I do buy and sell what I love! Since these items are vintage, they may have a wonderful aged patina and are not meant or expected to look brand new. I treasure their imperfections as part of their charm and history.
