Fabulous statement! Looking for a huge statement for your ears? This pair is certainly that! These are Afghan gypsy nomad earrings that are made out of mixed metals in silver and brass tones. Enormous and long at almost 3", these are meant to be seen! The earrings are crescent moon in shape. They have an ethic pattern on the metal. Tons of tiny brass paddle charms dangle down to swing to and fro. They are set with a crescent shaped red composite jasper stone. A large ear wire hoop suspends these. Fun!
Please keep in mind that most Kuchi and Turkoman / Turkmen / Turkomen items are old and used items with a distinct aged patina. They are a nomadic Afghan people who have created amazing jewelry for centuries. Their colorful jewelry combines new, old, metal, beads, coins, stones and fabric. Many pieces are worn due to being used from every day wear, tribal celebrations, belly dance and wedding uses. They are made with a coin-base metal alloy.
Measurement: 2.88” long

Weight: 18.7 grams for both
Please examine enlarged photos for details. This is much more beautiful in real life!
I am not an expert on vintage jewelry, but I do buy and sell what I love! Since these items are vintage, they may have a wonderful aged patina and are not meant or expected to look brand new. I treasure their imperfections as part of their charm and history.
