Fabulous, exotic Afghan earrings to dangle from your ears! What a great pair of tribal earrings with lots of detail. Elongated peacock birds are created from a mixed brass colored metal. They are etched with an ornate pattern that is oxidized to show off the detail. They have their eye sew with a little glass turquoise bead. They swing and sway from the ear wire. There is a dimensional heart also on the ear wire. Great statement pair!

Please keep in mind that most Kuchi and Turkoman / Turkmen / Turkomen items are old and used items with a distinct aged patina. They are a nomadic Afghan people who have created amazing jewelry for centuries. Their colorful jewelry combines new, old, metal, beads, coins, stones and fabric. Many pieces are worn due to being used from every day wear, tribal celebrations, belly dance and wedding uses. They are made with a coin-base metal alloy.
Please examine enlarged photos for details. This is much more beautiful in real life! I am not an expert on vintage jewelry, but I do buy and sell what I love! Since these items are vintage, they may have a wonderful aged patina and are not meant or expected to look brand new. I treasure their imperfections as part of their charm and history.
