This beautiful 14K yellow gold vintage ring is a recent consignment and features an oval rubellite tourmaline in a rich raspberry-red color which is all natural—not heat treated and measures approximately 7mm X 5mm. The central tourmaline is set off by 12 small diamonds which are set in an alternating pattern around it. The diamonds are in two sizes with the larger ones being approximately 2mm or 1/32 ct in size and the smaller ones approximately 1 mm in size. We estimate the total carat weight to be approximately 9/32 ct or just over ¼ tcw. The ring is between a size 6 ¼ and 6 ½. It is made of 14K gold and has a substantial shank which splits at the shoulders to accommodate the curved openwork which makes the outer prongs for the diamonds while the oval tourmaline is held securely by 4 prongs. It is a very rich and elegant looking ring due to the natural rubellite tourmaline in one of the most desirable colors for this stone. It is in excellent used condition with no damage of any kind. The ring mounting is marked with the name "Exquisite" and on the opposing side of the interior shank with the 14K stamp and a maker's mark which is a sort of heart-shaped monogram with a G and perhaps an upside down J?. The ring will come to you in a ring box for storage or gifting.
