On offer is a vintage cranberry panel glass bottle which has a replaced stopper. The bottle measures (without stopper) 4 1/2” tall by 3” in diameter at the bottom. The stopper which is more of an amethyst-color measures 1 1/4” tall by 1” in diameter at its widest. Although the stopper can be used with the bottle it is not a tight fit as the inside diameter of the bottle's neck measures 3/4”. For someone who likes pretty glass it is still a pretty piece. It would make a great gift for a little girl who likes pretty things as it could be displayed on a window sill or on top of a dresser or vanity. The stopper could be cemented in place with the use of some wax perhaps? There are no maker's marks on the bottle, but we are confident that it dates to the 1890-1920 period. I should also mention that the bottle's neck has a band of gilding about 5/8” high which adds to its appeal. As you can see in the final photo there is an interior bubble visible in the heavy bottom of the bottle. It might do as a pretty vase for a single thick-stemmed flower?
