Antique Mother-Of-Pearl Carved Lady's Belt Buckle, Circa 1900 - image 1 of 3

If you like distinctive clothing details this belt buckle is sure to please. It is made of hand carved mother-of-pearl in a beautifully lustrous, slightly iridescent white with pink and pale green tones. The buckle is a 3-prong design with curved sharp tines to hold a fabric or sturdy backed ribbon belt. It measures 2 7/8" H X 1 3/8" W. The front of the buckle is decorated with carved leaves, stylized floral elements, triangles and an interior twisted border while the outer edge reflects the various design elements. The buckle is in very good used, estate condition and ready to utilize. It dates from the Edwardian Era-think 1901-15-Downton Abbey style clothing. This piece could be used as originally intended or as a buckle decoration on a wide purse strap. It is only limited by your imagination. We will ship it to you in a jewelry gift box for storage or gift giving as you desire. e
