This onyx and freshwater pearl bracelet is a real showstopper. It is big, bold, and a statement piece when you want a lot of attention.
It's comprised of five giant, twisted, faceted black onyx beads.
Each of these is a little more than half an inch in diameter, and three-quarters of an inch in length.
Onyx is a fantastic stone for bracelets because it's hard and will stand up to general wear better than many other stones.
These gorgeous onyx beads are accented by luminous freshwater pearls, dipped to a soft silver-grey.
They are absolutely beautiful, round, and regular, with only a few small dings which add character.
The most spectacular part about this bracelet, however, is the knock-out beautiful clasp.
It's a toggle in a unique triangular shape, and the clasp is a little over an inch long! The size and style make this piece really easy to get on and off by yourself, but more importantly, it is a thing of beauty.
It's sterling silver, inlaid with black onyx and reflective white mother-of-pearl in a classic geometric pattern. I always try to design my jewelry as "whole" pieces, in which the clasp is as dramatic as everything else.
The craftsmanship in this bracelet is something I really value.
I use all sterling silver components and spacer beads, and the clasp is attached extra-securely so it will stand up to every-day wear (although it's definitely beautiful enough to pair with a little black dress!).
The clasp features a few hallmarks: a copyright symbol and KC (for the designer of the clasp) and a stamp which reads "STERLING."
All of the onyx beads are in flawless condition, and the freshwater pearls are in great shape, exhibiting only a few minor dings.
All of the inlay is securely held in place, and the silver sparkles.
