Here is a beautiful and incredibly unique antique brooch.
The brooch is characterized by exotic Middle Eastern details with exceptional, delicate filigree accents.
You can see that the brooch is the product of craftsmanship gained through years of practice and expertise.
The brooch has an ethnic, unusual appeal. It is not sterling, but closer to 750 or 850 silver and has been professionally tested.
An eye-catching medallion at the center of the brooch is decorated with beautiful Arabic calligraphy and further embellished with minuscule applied filigree in the background.
You will notice that the top and sides of the brooch are decorated with domes of millegrained open-filigree.
Smaller filigreed dome shapes accent the edges of the central medallion while a bold, scrolling theme adorns each corner.
There is an old-fashioned "C" style brooch clasp on the reverse of the brooch as well as a loop at the top; this will give you a number of options for wearing and displaying the piece.
As you can see, the brooch is pervaded by a dark, age expected layer of oxidization.
This gives the minuscule detail on the front an incredible sense of depth and dimension.
The reverse of the brooch shows some slightly more mottled darkening as well as the remnants of an old tag.
Overall, this exceptional unique brooch remains in very good antique condition.
