This beautiful brooch and earring set is made of sterling silver and accented with glittering slate-gray marcasite rhinestones.
This set came out of an estate of a Colonel in WWII who was stationed in Berlin. This estate was full of his wife's jewelry wardrobe that had the most amazing pieces. They clearly traveled all over Europe and her jewelry is a very eclectic collection of the most interesting bracelets, earrings, rings, and brooches. We drooled.
Each piece (marked "Germany, Sterling Silver") has a really fun, modern style with a timeless retro look that you'll absolutely love. All pieces have been professionally tested to ensure the purity of the silver.
The brooch is characterized by a sweeping "fan" shape. Little arms emanate from the bottom and terminate with brilliant inset marcasite rhinestones.
The top of the brooch is sail-shaped and features rows of graduated rhinestones while the highly-textural centerpiece is accented with a few teeny faceted marcasites.
A roll-over brooch clasp on the reverse of the piece will make it easy to wear and display.
You will notice that both brooch and earrings are embellished with millegraining and a highly-textural finish.
The earrings match the look of the brooch beautifully and are characterized by trapezoidal fan-shape and are accented with lots of little marcasite rhinestones.
Classic hinge-clips on the reverse of both earrings will make them really comfortable to wear.
The brooch and earrings show only the teeniest amount of wear and only a few immaterial surface scratches.
Overall, this wonderfully unique set remains in great vintage condition.
