Here is a fabulous vintage bracelet from mid-century designer Mimi Di N. The clamper-style bracelet has gorgeous, ornate details and boasts a lustrous gold-tone finish.
Short for Mimi Di Nascemi, Sicilian-born Mimi Di N spent her early years as a designer studying in Paris and later worked with other famous jewelry manufacturers like Robert DeMario and DeLizza and Elster.
This stunning bracelet is characterized by a highly-textural, partly-pierced design which features beautiful florals and leaves.
Some leaves remain smooth while others bear linear incisions which create an extraordinary juxtaposition of textures and dimension.
Because the hinge at the reverse of the bracelet includes a tight spring, the clamper does not require a clasp. but wraps around the wrist in what appears to be an infinite loop.
You will find a small hallmark placard on the interior of the hinge which reads "Mimi Di N". This mark was in use from the 1960's to 1985.
This bracelet likely dates from the late 1960's to early 1970's.
Though the bracelet shows only the smallest amount of wear and a few immaterial surface scratches, it remains in outstanding vintage condition overall.
Exterior circumference is 10", Interior circumference is 7", Cuff is 5/8" wide and rises 3/8" from wrist
