Here is an extraordinary vintage cigarette case made of brilliant .950 fine silver.
The case features incredible decoration and stands as a truly stunning example of old-world craftsmanship.
As you can see, the front and back of the case are covered entirely in a dazzling hand-hammered scrolling oak leaf pattern.
Small hand-etched accents give the design fantastic depth and dimension.
There is a hand-engraved monogram in the upper left-hand corner of the front of the case which reads "R.S.P." in a bold, gothic font.
A very small stamped mark on the interior of the case-rim reads "31"; this is likely a product or style number.
The lid is affixed to the case with a simple hinge at opens with a small push-latch button on the side.
Stamped marks on the underside of the case read "Silver 950". 950 is a higher purity than .925 sterling silver and is therefore qualified as "fine" silver.
The case is covered in a light coat of oxidization.
We have not polished the piece, but leave that to the preference of the buyer. We know it will shine brilliantly.
Overall, this exquisite case remains in outstanding vintage condition.
