We are so thrilled to offer this incredible vintage ring. Rendered in divine 9 karat yellow gold, the ring boasts a sexy snake motif, dramatic onyx, and two shimmering garnets.
The ring is fabulously unique and has great size and substance. This is a larger ring, no doubt a man's ring.
The top of the ring features an inset oblong onyx cabochon surrounded by a saw-tooth bezel.
As you can see, both shoulders feature a snake motif where the tail is on one side and the head overlaps the onyx stone on the other.
The snake's "scales" are rendered in a highly-dimensional texture.
Two faceted garnets accent the snake's eyes, giving the ring a truly dramatic, almost mysterious appeal.
There are several marks on the interior of the ring, the first of which features a capital "R" over "P" inside a hexagonal lozenge.
This is followed by a British CCM or "Common Control Mark" which features the number "375" inside the image of a scale.
The mark is presented in an overlapping circle-shape, which is used strictly for gold. This particular mark indicates that the ring is rendered in 9 karat gold.
You will find another mark reading simply "375" (also for 9 karat gold).
The final mark is an anchor on its side (the mark of the Birmingham Assay Office).
The tip of the snake's nose exhibits a very, very small crack, while other areas of the ring show some minor wear and darkening. Otherwise, it remains in good vintage condition.
This ring can be resized by a professional jeweler with care to preserve the hallmarks.
