We are thrilled to present this incredible antique quadruple silver-plated spoon. It dates from the very early 1900's and was manufactured by William A. Rogers LTD.

Both the bowl and handle boast an incredibly ornate and unique stamped design.

The handle shows a relatively traditional pattern of foliate scrolling with narrow gadrooning at the neck.

It's the bowl of the spoon that really draws the eye; a wave rises from the edge and breaks at the center, over what appears to be a spider web.

The edge of the bowl is predominately smooth, while the base of the wave shows a light scallop.

There are several maker's marks on the reverse of the handle. The first mark you will see is a cross pateé.

The for arms of the cross represent the four layers of silver-plating on the spoon.

This is followed by "W.R." for "William Rogers" and finally, by the Rogers "keystone" mark typical of the company's silver-plated items.

The spoon shows some dark oxidization which, when combined with the shinier areas of the silver, makes for an incredibly dimensional look.

Should you choose to polish the piece, it is sure to shine brightly.

Overall, the spoon remains in very good antique condition.
