These vintage Schiaparelli are pure perfection. Elsa Schiaparelli founded her design brand in the 1920's: it set a lasting standard in the world of fashion.
We love the Etruscan look; it works just as well for winter's elegant, tailored looks as summer's layered, boho styles.
These earrings feature a gorgeous oblong faux-jade stone at the center which is surrounded by dazzling matte-finish gold-tone.
Below the green cabochon is a band of gold-tone metal with little balls in the center (this is so typical of the Roman Goddess look).
A big round glass pearl is set in each side of the band.
The top of the gold-tone frame features three little balls which look almost like a tiny crown on top of each earring.
The glass pearls give a great sense of balance and cohesion to the overall Etruscan look.
In Ancient Rome (and even today) pearls were a great indicator of wealth and beauty.
Nice, big hinge clips on the reverse of the earrings make them really comfortable to wear and attach securely to ear lobe.
Let us know if you prefer something softer and we'll be sure to include clip-pads with the earrings.
Underneath each clip, you will find the "Schiaparelli" hallmark placard on the reverse of each earring.
This mark dates from the late 1940's and was used throughout the 1950's and 60's.
With almost no visible wear, these stunning earrings remain in spectacular vintage condition.
We LOVE Schiaparelli's timeless designs and these beauties are a truly dazzling example.
