Here is a gorgeous vintage signet 9 karat yellow gold ring with a blank cartouche that's just waiting for a monogram of your own.
From highly renowned W. J. Pellow Ltd., this ring features a stunning array of hand-etched decoration and a very distinct shape.
Originally founded by William John Pellow in 1909, the company (W. J. Pellow Ltd.), remains in its original Birmingham location to this day crafting unique fine jewelry.
As you can see, the ring's face is quite substantial in size.
The upper corner of the face remains blank while the opposing corner is embellished with hand-etched scrolling decoration.
You will notice that the shoulders feature a distinctive "stepped" pattern which creates a stunning combination of masculine and feminine, making this ring a truly rare beauty.
There are a number of impressed hallmarks on the interior of the band, the first of which reads "WJP" for the manufacturer.
This is followed by the standard English "crown" mark. Next, the number "375" indicates that the ring is made of solid 9 karat gold.
The ring has been professionally tested to ensure the purity of the gold.
The last marks include an anchor (the mark of the Birmingham Assay Office) and a date letter, "H". This mark represents the year of manufacture, 1982.
With only a few immaterial flea-bite scratches here and there, this eye-catching ring remains in excellent vintage condition.
