This classic and elegant pair of sterling Espinosa cufflinks date from the 1940s and will make an excellent gift for the fashionable French-cuff wearer in your life.
As you can see, these vintage beauties have a really clean and sharp look.
The cufflinks are characterized by substantial sterling squares with no ornamentation but a reflective, smooth finish.
They have been professionally tested to ensure the purity of the silver.
Unlike modern cufflinks which feature a bar-and-hinge component, these feature a diamond-shape back that is attached to the square face with an oblong chain link.
This link is attached to loops on the reverse of the front and back and allows the cufflinks to be easily and securely worn.
You will find stamped marks on the reverse of each diamond shaped backing component which read "Sterling" and "Espinosa".
Mexican silversmith, Espinosa, produced a wide-range of sterling jewelry, mainly in the 1930s and 40s.
While the cufflinks exhibit some expected wear and a few very light flea-bite scratches, they remain in good vintage condition overall.
Face of cufflinks measure 9/16" square, Cufflinks are 3/4" deep, Backs are 7/8" long, (4.5 grams, each)
Total Weight: 9.1 grams
