Here is a really beautiful vintage hair clip made of sterling silver.
It features a pretty design of three oblong shapes with the largest oval in the center. Each is framed with a twisted "rope" of sterling silver.
A tiny raised circle embellishes each corner where the smaller and largest oval-shapes meet.
There is a two-prong barrette-clip on the reverse.
The prongs are held securely in place underneath two small "C"-clasps and easily released when squeezed together.
You will find a unique maker's mark on the reverse of the barrette.
The mark includes the outline of a typical Zuni Knifewing dancer with the words "Gallup" and "Sterling" stamped inside.
The barrette shows a nice patina from age which gives it a really rich, dimensional look. Overall, it remains in very good vintage condition.
Whether you display it or wear it (or both), this is a really pretty and collectible piece of vintage sterling.
We think this would be so sweet in in upswept hairdo for a casual wear. Don't wear a boring bobbie pin, be your diva and wear this fabu vintage piece.
