Here is a fun and funky vintage ring which is rendered in divine sterling silver and features a beautiful baby-blue navette shaped cabochon.
As you can see, the shoulders (or sides) of the ring depict impish little faces which are rendered in great detail. They look like little fairies or goblins and give the ring a very whimsical look.
Hammered textural accents continue down the ring before it tapers to a smooth lower band.
There is very faint mark on the reverse of the ring which reads "Sterling"; the piece has been professionally tested to ensure the purity of the silver.
You will notice that the ring has acquired a rich patina over the years which give the mischievous faces and textural accents great depth and dimension.
There is also a small, discolored spot on the interior of the ring where it may have been resized at one point.
There is one small irregularity along the edge of the cabochon (you can see it in the very first picture, located at the top right of the ring, and also a detailed image). It is smooth to the touch. We suspect it was present in the glass before it was set into the bezel.
Despite some darkening, a few spots on the underside of the cabochon and some light surfaces scratches here and there, this wonderfully unique ring remains in good vintage condition.
