Here is a spectacular Victorian ring, exhibiting all of the elegance and quality for which the era is known. Surprisingly bold and uniquely designed, the ring is rendered in solid 14 karat yellow gold with five exquisite diamonds.
The interior of the ring exhibits a hallmark which reads "14K" and we also tested it to be positive for 14K gold.
The face is designed in the shape of four diamond faces with a diamond inset in the center of each one. A slightly larger diamond is bezel-set in the center.
The diamond shapes seem to float on the high rising gallery, the sides of which are embellished with swirling shapes and solid walls of gold.
Each upper-shank shoulders have more symmetrical swirls tapering to the band which features a beautiful herringbone pattern. This ring certainly epitomizes the beginnings of the very stylish Etruscan Revival style.
Substantial and extremely elegant, the ring is in excellent antique condition exhibiting only some minor wear and patination. Definitely an excellent collection addition or display piece, but much more fun to wear.
