This is a beautiful vintage brooch in quality l sterling silver. Dazzlingly unique, the brooch consists of two pins: an opulent crown and regal, curved sword in its scabbard.
Two strands of medium gauge, sterling silver curb chain are attached to each side of both pins. The chain hangs loosely in between when both brooches are worn on the lapels.
The crown and sword exhibit extraordinary detail, made all the more enticing by a rich patina; a classic roll over safety clasp is affixed to the back of each.
Crowns and scabbard jewelry is prevalent in many countries representing the royal crown and the symbol of power in the scabbard. Ireland, Hungary, and England jewelry depicted this design in the era of royal rule.
The reverse of both pins feature a small maker's mark reading "Sterling".
Though it shows expected silver patina, we have not polished this brooch. We leave that to the buyer for their individual preference We know that some collectors prefer the patina finish.
