Hattie Carnegie was a fashion entrepreneur based in New York City from the 1920s to the 1960s. Born in Vienna, Austria she was the second oldest of seven children. Her company was a pioneer of the ready-to-wear lines for the high-end market.
This is such a beauty. A very well know stylist borrowed this piece for a photo shoot for the Fall/Winter 2011 issue of Arizona Bride showing how more contemporary, non traditional jewelry can make a huge fashion statement as bridal accessories. The issue is on stands now!
Easterbelle's will have full credits published with a link to our Ruby Lane shop.
This vintage bangle is an absolute show-stopper. Its highly texturized exterior is made all the more dazzling by a brilliant gold-colored finish.
Twenty robin's egg blue thermoplastic cabochons adorn the edges alternating with crystal-clear white rhinestones.
The cabs feature dark striations throughout, giving them a more natural appearance. Eight scarlet-red, square cut rhinestones are prong-set through the center, complementing the light blue of the cabochons beautifully.
The bangle opens at a hinge on one side and closes with a tiny snap on the other; a safety chain with spring-ring provides a bit of added security during wear.
The interior of the hinge features a small placard inscribed with the typical "Hattie Carnegie" hallmark.
The bracelet is still in impeccable condition, exhibiting almost no visible wear. It is extremely elegant and looks really amazing on the wrist.
This piece is so amazing, one of our famous stylist friends used this on loan to use in an upcoming well known bridal magazine photo shoot to be published in July 2011. It is just that amazing.
