In the early 1960s Yves Saint Laurent brought his illuminating designs to the fashion world.
Today, the YSL fashion house is one of the most prominent in the world and continues to produce highly sought after clothing and accessories.
This is such a beauty.
A very well know stylist borrowed this piece for a photo shoot for the Fall/Winter 2011 issue of Arizona Bride showing how more contemporary, non traditional jewelry can make a huge fashion statement as bridal accessories.

All we can say when we look at this vintage necklace is WOW!
A truly jaw dropping, look-at-me piece, it features five strands of synthetic carnelian leading to a HUGE gold-colored metal bib.
This piece is set with six gorgeous glass cabochons ranging from translucent red to faux orange banded agate.
The central bib and hardware are beautifully embellished with a brushed gold-tone and hammered finished.
The metal piece has great weight to it and really anchors the necklace.
An extender chain allows for great ease of adjustability and culminates in a pierced "YSL" placard.
The other side ends with a simple loop for easy and comfortable fastening.
Finally, you can see that "YSL" logo is clearly stamped on the reverse of the large metal bib.
Aside from some minor areas of wear, the piece remains in excellent vintage condition.
Substantial and elegant, you'll feel like a modern-day Cleopatra in this regally beautiful necklace.
