This is a very pretty and unusual "gypsy" ring. Each of the five hills on the 10 karat rose gold face embrace a magnificent genuine stone cabochon: two opals, an emerald, a pigeon-blood garnet and a dazzling seed pearl in the center.
Each stone is inset and surrounded by a decorative etched star.
The face and upper shanks of the ring test positive for 10 karat gold. The lower part of band shows a clear delineation where it was likely replaced at a later date and tests as 14 karat gold (this is not unusual of Victorian era rings).
The disparity in gold color is not immediately noticeable, and we are pleased to say that, overall, the ring is in excellent condition exhibiting only a few flea-bite scratches.
The ring looks great on the finger and the different colored gemstones really make the "look" of this ring.
