This romantic and elegant antique perfume bottle is a shining example of meticulous craftsmanship and old-world elegance.
Originally intended for a lady's chatelaine, it features a beautiful brass chain from each side of the hinged brass cap.
This would have been filled with fragrance or for smelling salts and used as a scent bottle.
Crafted in such a way that it will not stand on its own, the bottle could just have easily laid gracefully upon the lady of the house's dressing table.
The glass is the most exquisite shade of Kelly-green with a gorgeous overlay of white enameling detail and gold leaf gilding. The gilding and unbelievable white enameled detail are characteristic of Moser antique glass. Not all Moser is signed, and we believe this is an unsigned Moser piece.
The remaining areas on the bottle are decorated with white swirling florals.
Gold-colored diamond shapes adorn the sides; each is framed with dozens of gold gilded enameled dot detailing. The spacing between the dotted accents is almost exact.
The bottle is hand blown and clear. You will see the bubble indicators of hand blown glass.
Also, the original glass stopper remains perfectly intact which makes this more collectible.
A beautiful chased floral motif is echoed on the brass hinged lid. We don't see any dings or dents in the brass lid.
Except for the smallest of expected wear and an equally very small amount of enamel loss, this bottle remains in exceptional antique condition.
The quality of this bottle is really amazing. It has great weight for its size and the textures are wonderfully tactile.
The color is just beautiful.
This would make a great addition to any vintage/antique glass or perfume bottle collector.
