Since its founding in Chicago in 1955, Park Lane continues to produce unique and extraordinary pieces of jewelry like this exquisite Egyptian Revival necklace.
The necklace features a large, enameled pendant depicting a stylized palm frond in varying shades of green and lapis-blue.
Framed in gold-tone metal which has been meticulously embellished to include an Egyptian pattern, and suspended from a gold-tone chain, the piece recalls a uniquely opulent, Art-Deco aesthetic.
4" up from the pendant on either side of the chain are two respective tubular faux pearls flanked in lapis-blue, biconical beads. In total, these embellishments measure 15cm. 5 ¼" above this the necklace culminates at a beautifully preserved spring ring clasp.
The the necklace measures 20 ½" from end to end, while the pendant measures 1 ½" tall, 1 ¼" at its widest point and ¼" at its narrowest.
A very clearly stamped Park Lane hallmark is visible on the reverse side of the pendant. In very good vintage condition, the necklace exhibits only some minor wear and darkening.
The bold statement shape, size and colors of the pendant make the necklace a head-turner.
