This extraordinary vintage ring features a gorgeous black sapphire at its center, surrounded by eight brilliantly clear diamonds. The band and dazzling claw setting are cast in gorgeous 9 karat gold; the housing rises rather high from the finger, and features beautiful pierced ornamentation.
The pictures do not do this ring justice. It is brilliant, sparkling and just amazingly beautiful.
A number of hallmarks can be found stamped into the interior of the ring, the first of which is a crown, indicating that the ring was manufactured in Sheffield, England. Next, you can see the number "375", indicating that the ring is 9 karat gold. Adjacent to this is a leopard's head, which indicates that the ring was assayed in London and finally, the letter "N" abutting this symbolizes the ring's year of manufacture, 1955.
On the opposing side of the interior is a hallmark which reads "CK Ltd", the company responsible for the gorgeous design and quality of the ring. It remains in excellent condition, exhibiting only some minor darkening and wear to various parts of the gold.
This ring exudes an aura of old-world glamour.
