This exquisite vintage signet ring is an example of the elegant style embodied by turn of the century English craftsmen.
The ring is demure (cast in gorgeous 9k yellow cold) and wonderfully stylish, it features simple pierced ornamentation while the face remains without a monogram.
There is a surface scratch on the face, but it does not detract from ring's overall beauty and should polish well.
There are a number of hallmarks stamped on the interior of the ring. There is first, a grouping of four: two of these read "9" and ".375", for 9k gold.
Next is a lower-case "q", which indicates that the ring was made in 1911, and finally, a leopard's head, the symbol of the assay offices of London.
On the opposing side of the interior there is a mark which reads "BW&S".
The ring exhibits some expected surface wear, but we did not polish this item so the owner can polish to their preference.
