Easterbelle's is pleased to present these extraordinary vintage Siamese cufflinks.

They are adorned with "Siam Sterling" as the reverse maker's mark attests, though today this is more frequently referred to as Nielloware.

Niello is a black mixture of silver, lead, and copper sulphides used as an inlay on engraved metal. Traditional hinge clips allow for security and comfort during wear.

A beautiful, traditional Thai dancer is pictured on each cufflink.

These would have been made in the years that Thailand was named Siam in the early-mid 1940's. The country was re-named Thailand in approximately 1948.

Each exhibits only some very minor patina on the reverse and remains in otherwise very good vintage condition.

These have great style and will work for either a man or a woman.

1" tall, ¾" wide, 2" deep, 1 ¾" deep (when bar is parallel)
