Here is a fun vintage hat with a unique shape and great details. It has such a fun, classic style, it withstands all fashion eras.
This is highly wearable for a little pizzazz for the right outfit.
As you can see, the hat is made from the highest quality black wool and boasts a semi-stylized tricorne shape (updated for the 1940's, of course).
The hat comes to a tight pinch in the front while each side is embellished with several colorful accents.
An enormous blue plastic chaton rhinestone is stitched to each side of the side and is surrounded by a number of lightning bolt shapes sparklers in varying shades of orange, white, green, and red.
The inside of the cap remains unlined as is it typically unnecessary to include a lining in woolen hats of such exceptional quality.
A narrow ribbon of black grosgrain lines the inner-band; this is where you will find several original tags.
The larger tag reads "Marché Hats, New York" while the smaller size-tag reads "22".
Finally, a small tag is stitched to the ribbon behind the other two and includes Fair Labor Standards as well as reading "New York Creation."
Founded in 1927, Marché provided the lunching ladies of Manhattan with some of the finest, most unique designs for many years.
Some of the plastic details on the front show some expected wear, though we are thrilled to say that this gorgeous hat remains in very good vintage condition overall.
