This gorgeous vintage hat dates from the 1960s but has a timeless design perfect for tea at the Plaza or juleps at the Derby.
The hat is made of tightly woven straw in an elegant shade of navy blue.
As you can see, the hat is nicely blocked and features tall sides with a sunken crown. The medium width brim is straighter at the front and back but curves upward on the sides.
A pretty ribbon of dark blue grosgrain wraps around the outer band and terminates at the back of the hat in a great big bow.
The bow has lost a bit of its original shape but remains in good condition nonetheless.
Inside, you will find that the hat remains unlined as it is often unnecessary to include a lining in straw hats of such exceptional quality.
A narrow grosgrain ribbon lines the inner band; this is where you will find the original designer's fabric label which reads "Bellini New York".
Despite a touch of expected wear and some minor dents in the straw, this gorgeous hat remains in excellent vintage condition.
