This vintage Bergdorf Goodman bag screams retro glamour while being exquisitely elegant.
Bergdorf was founded in New York City in the early 1900s; it would not be long before the store offered ready-to-wear fashions , making in the premier retailer from American and French designers.
This bag was undoubtedly owned by a woman of means, especially in the era, because nothing from Berdorf's is inexpensive.
This sexy little bag is made of luxurious black velvet and is the perfect size for an evening out.
Even the frame of this classic frame bag is covered in velvet. Two silver-tone loops protrude from the frame and are attached to a short velvet handle.
As you can see, the classic rocker clasp is covered in glittering clear rhinestones.
The interior of the bag is completely lined with gorgeous peach colored satin, and includes an open pocket and a zippered pocket (perfect for cards and cash).
You will find the original silken retailer's tag stitched to the interior which reads "Bergdorf Goodman".
The interior of the bag shows some wear and a few spots of minor darkening.
The corners of the frame on the exterior have become slightly worn exposing a bit of the metal underneath. Otherwise, this sexy little number remains in good vintage condition.
