We are thrilled to present this pair of beautiful vintage spoons from the Cunard's White Star Line's famed ocean liner the R.M.S. Queen Elizabeth.
The prominent British shipping company was responsible for the creation of a number of luxurious ships, including the ill fated Titanic.
Both of these beautiful spoons feature a lovely silver plated finish which has been professionally tested.
The longer tea-spoon features some beaded and cabled decoration along the handle while the stout caddy spoon boasts a simple, subdued shape.
Each spoon is decorated with the applied crest of the deluxe R.M.S. Queen Elizabeth ocean liner.
With her running mate, the Queen Mary, the enormous luxury liner transported sea-faring travelers from England, New York City, and Cherbourg, France.
You will notice that each crest is accented with vibrant blue and red enamel with reflective gold tone accents.
Of course, the crest is topped with the Sovereign's crown.
The Elizabeth would take her last voyage in 1968. The R.M.S. in the liner's title stands for "Royal Mail Ship".
In addition to transporting passengers, the ship was contracted to carry Royal Mail for over twenty years.
Each spoon shows a fair degree of oxidization. We have not polished either piece, but leave that to the preference of the buyer.
Despite some darkening and surface scratching, these beautiful spoons remain in good vintage condition.
Collectors of silver and nautical vintages alike will love displaying these remarkable spoons.
