This antique cast-iron shoe stand and set of five lasts will make a fun and unique addition to the eclectic collection or décor.
"Lasts", or foot-shaped forms, are still used by cobblers and cordwainers today in traditional shoe-making.
Each piece in this set is made of substantial cast-iron.
They bear a beautiful gold-tone finish to which years of age and oxidization have given a fantastic depth and dimension.
Shoe-forms like these typically come in pairs. As you can see, there are two lasts numbered "3", two more numbered "4" and a single size "7" last.
The forms include reservoirs on the underside so that can be easily and securely placed on the cast-iron stand.
Though the lasts and stand exhibit age-expected wear and areas of patination, the set remains in very good vintage condition.
This would make a sensational gift or décor-piece.
