We are thrilled to present this rare set of six crystal Tiffany cordial glasses.
Charles Louis Tiffany and John B. Young founded the now world-renowned Tiffany & Co. in the heart of New York City in 1837.
Despite the fact that America was in a deep economic recession, the company thrived, selling quality merchandise imported from India, Europe, and the Orient.
The masterfully designed glasses are incredibly delicate and yet sturdy. This is due to their perfect balance.
The foot is approximately as wide as the mouth. It tapers to create the stem and then protrudes outward in the center to create a wide hip. It tapers briefly once more before culminating at the bowl.
Pictures simply cannot do the bowl of each of these glasses justice. They are embellished by a pattern of swirling ridges which start at the base and twirl evenly towards the mouth. Truly, they are the work of a master artisan.
Each glass remains in mint condition and exhibits a light acid mark on the foot that reads "Tiffany & Co."
Exuding elegance and unparalleled style, this set of crystal Tiffany glasses will be the crown jewel of your collection.
Crystal, by nature, gets brittle over time. They need to be used and filled with liquid. If you plan to use these only for display, we recommend putting a dish of water near them so they can "soak up" the water.
We use our vintage crystal for many occasions because they make a unique element to any table setting.
