This glorious antique bracelet is an exemplar of the masterful craftsmanship and elegant design embodied by the Victorian era.
Made entirely with solid 14 karat gold, the bracelet is comprised of dozens of substantial links giving it an articulated and tactile "mesh" feel.
Each side features identical nesting box clasps, both of which are further embellished with a chased and gadroon loop holding the ends on the bracelet in place.
The detailed clasps (two) can be disconnected and reconnected, we are told, to make a choker necklace. It would be very small, though, so it may fit your dog.....lucky dog.
Both ends feature a beautiful cap (matching the decorative loop), and end in seven strands of golden snake chains (each ends with a small, golden ball).
With only a single link missing and evidence of very minor darkening, the bracelet is in overall very good antique condition.
This is an absolutely beautiful bracelet. It has substance, style, and a very elegant, timeless appeal.
It has a very unusual design. This is not a "slide" bracelet. The adornments are solid.
This would be THE gift to give to someone very special for any special occasion.
