So chic, so glamorous; this spectacular 1950's Harry Levine evening bag is a must-have for the vintage-loving vixen.
Based off of New York's famed and fashionable 5th street and across the street from the iconic Empire State Building, the Harry Levine Corporation supplied the world with some of the most stylish and sought-after handbags.
This golden, glittering beauty dates from the 1950s and is classic era elegance.
We LOVE this bag because you can carry it as a clutch with just about ANYTHING or take out the hidden chain strap for an entirely different look.
As you can see, this bag is made of stiff gold-tone fabric and has incredible shimmer.
Both sides of the evening bag are decorated with golden faux-leather piping while the top features a ruffled accent on the front and back.
The bag contains a hidden frame and features a simple two-ball clasp at the top which keeps it securely closed.
A short gold-tone curb chain is attached to the interior and can be taken out or easily hidden.
The inside of the evening bag is lined with decadent peach-colored satin and features the maker's screen printed logo which reads simply "HL, U.S.A".
The lining shows a tiny bit of expected wear including a few light spots.
You will notice that the chain exhibits some minor darkening from age, though this sensational Harry Levine evening bag remains in very good vintage condition overall.
