This fun, foxy vintage Sperry chain necklace is a classic accessory for any fashion season.
Clean, sharp silhouettes and BIG, bold accessories are a must-do to finish that perfect outfit.
Founded in 1947, in Providence, Rhode Island, the Sperry Manufacturing Company was known for their daring designs.
Chains were there forte though they would eventually produce a wide variety of styles.
The company was also associated with the famed American jewelry manufacturer, Tara, whose designs also showed the influence of big chains and sexy, substantial styles.
As you can see, this funky but, feminine, necklace is characterized by smooth stylized curb links and a glistening gold-tone finish.
Nine links at the center of the necklace are further ornamented with reflective gold-tone domes which lend the piece a more unique and distinctive quality.
The necklace joins with a large fold-over clasp.
You will find the Sperry logo imprinted on the reverse of the clasp as well as an inscription reading "Pat.Pend". The use of this mark dates from the early to mid-1950s.
While the necklace shows some minor signs of wear and a few very light flea-bite scratches here and there, it remains in very good vintage condition overall.
Bring out your inner fearless fashionista with this seriously stunning Sperry necklace.
