This is a wildly unique and super-stylish vintage hat with some serious volume and fun details.
The tall, dome-shaped hat is made of a gorgeous combination of navy-blue netting and straw which gives it a sensational texture and look.
As you can see, the hat curls ever-so-slightly under at the base, a bit like a mushroom.
This is where you will find the stiff narrow brim which is covered in beautiful matching navy-blue grosgrain.
A little bow made of navy grosgrain accents the back of the hat and culminates in four little tails.
A ribbon of slightly lighter blue grosgrain lines the inner-band; this is where you will find the original designer's label which reads "Jean Sutton".
A slightly smaller tag near this one bears the logo of The United Hatters Cap and Millinery Workers International Union. The UHCMW as it's called was founded in 1934.
The tags are only ever-so-slightly worn, as are some of the ribbon-bows, though the hat remains in outstanding vintage condition overall.
