Thomas L Mott and his company in Birmingham, England were in business from 1875 until at least the 1970s. Although perhaps best known for his "butterfly wing" designs in the 1920s, my favorite TLM jewelry is his sterling silver and enamel floral charms. The series includes a flower for each month of the year. Each charm is bordered in the same pretty aqua blue enamel and the whole set together on one bracelet is very striking! Collecting all twelve was a labor of love that took several years.

Each charm is in very good to excellent condition with enamel that is remarkably intact. Some of the charms have minor flaws, such as little scuffs or scratches which can be seen in the highly magnified photos.

Each charm measures 9/16" across and the silver backs have varying patinas and degrees of tarnish. All charms are marked TLM STERLING ENGLAND on the back at the bottom. A few of the charms also have one of the Mott maker marks of an M surrounded by small dots on the back at the top.

The bracelet is a tad over 7" long, and is what I would describe as a mid-century modern variation on the dot-dash bracelet. It is very nicely made and has a nice size spring ring clasp in good working order, marked sterling. New sterling jump rings were used to attach the charms to the bracelet in order by month, as follows:

January - snowdrop
February - primrose
March - violets
April - iris
May - pansy
June - rose
July - fuchsia
August - poppy
September - cornflower
October – carnation
November - chrysanthemum
December - white flowers and holly leaves with red berries

In the last photo the bracelet is shown next to a ruler, and with a dime, for scale.
