This terrific older Wells charm is a large-ish disc for a drum & bugle corps. It's flat, with a raised edge. In the center of the charm is a drum and bugle in low relief, with crossed drum sticks behind the drum. The drum is painted with black enamel, which shows some wear. The background has a wonderful nubby texture. The raised border has been personalized with 'Angels of Ohio' engraved along the top edge. From info I found on the internet on 'Angels of Ohio': "The Angels Junior Corps from Bellefontaine, OH were started by Bill Ellis, he was the DM for the "Satan's Angels" senior Corps from Bellefontaine. They lasted from 1964 to 1968 and then merged with the Marion Cadets, the Merged corps was called 'The Ohio Cadets'." Great charm for anyone who has fond memories of participating in or enjoying a local drum & bugle corps. The silver has a soft patina.
Marked sterling on the back with the Tophat maker mark for Wells.
In the last photo the charm is shown next to a quarter for scale.
