Offered for sale is a magnificent French, late 19th century, Tole, Chippendale like, tray in very good to excellent condition- one of the nicest I've ever carried. This exceptional period piece with all the desired motifs depicts a floral mountain motif, with the butterfly, and peacock, which makes it particularly special, with it's Regent's style of `The Pavilion'. The patina is wonderful, the paint ninety five percent or more, and just enough evidence of crazing and aging to give it character. The tray measures 25" long x 19.5" wide. It has a premium deserving of its uniqueness. These are the motifs: peacock, fountain, butterfly, flowers, etc.
