Offered for sale is a magnificent French, late 19th century, Tole, Chippendale like, tray in very good to excellent condition- one of the nicest I've ever carried. This exceptional period piece with all the desired motifs depicts a floral mountain motif, with the butterfly, and peacock, which makes it particularly special, with it's Regent's style of `The Pavilion'. The patina is perfect with the paint ninety five percent or more intact and just enough evidence of crazing and aging to give it character. The tray measures 25" long x 19.5" wide. It has a premium deserving of condition and scarcity. These are the motifs: peacock, fountain, butterfly, and flowers.- just regal!
